OREGON TIMBER FRAME APPOINTS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
29 July 2009
Oregon Timber Frame is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Richard Jarvis as Business Development Manager for England.
Richard brings extensive experience of timber and construction to his new role, as he has worked in the industry for 21 years, most recently as Head of Engineered Timber for Simpson Strong-Tie.
Oregon Timber Frame comments:
“We are delighted to welcome such an experienced industry practitioner to the Oregon team. Despite a difficult market place, we are confident that this is time to spread the Oregon message of safe, sustainable timber frame solutions more widely to housebuilders in England.”
“England has always been an important market place for Oregon, and we look forward to this expanding as the economy recovers.”
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Richard Jarvis said:
“I am very much looking forward to working with one of the UK’s largest independent timber frame manufacturers and to highlighting the advantages of Oregon’s innovative approach to housing providers throughout England.”
Oregon is currently working on projects in both the public and private sectors up and down the UK, including various pilot projects for Code for Sustainable Homes, as they help housebuilders realise the full benefits of Timber Frame construction.
Based in Selkirk in the Scottish Borders, Oregon has the capacity to produce 6000 units per year and has both FSC and PEFC Chain of Custody certification for timber sourcing.
