Oregon Meets Business and Environmental Standards

Oregon Timber Frame Ltd, the UK’s largest independent timber frame manufacturer, has announced its successful certification to ISO 9001: 2000 standard.

Oregon is committed to quality and the process of continuous improvement in all aspects of its operations, as this recent award attests.

Jason Bullock, Business Improvement Manager for Oregon states:

"Following a recent audit by BM TRADA, Oregon is now certified to ISO 9001: 2000. This builds on our already well developed business processes, with continuous improvement and customer focus. Business improvement teams (TOP Teams) have been set-up to work in all key areas of our business. This ensures we are delivering added value to meet our customers; needs."

Oregon has also had both FSC and PEFC Chain-of-Custody certification for two years, which provides evidence that all their timber is obtained from sustainably managed sources - something which Oregon customers’, at the moment particularly those in England, are demanding.

Jason explained:

"We anticipated our client’s requirements for Chain-of-Custody certification. There was little demand for this evidence two years ago, however, as our client’s face a much greater pressure from environmental bodies and regulatory standards, we are finding an increased recognition of its importance."
